Nov 18, 2015 Help me understand b4 I get arrested for sympathising. I mean if you look deeper beyond these terrorist attacks Everything that exists and is happening today is a result of the past and everything that will happen in the future is the result of the present. Here we have the Middle East which was the cradle of civilisation and a rich prosperous beautiful land. History happens and fast forward to the early 1900s and the beginning of world reliance for the most important thing in the 20th century (oil) During the time oil was discovered in the Middle East the West was in it's Imperialistic stage. The Middle East was used and carved and cut up to the West's liking and benefits. Some smart (?) Middle Easterners played through with the West and became prosperous countries. Leaders and governments installed by the West completely ignoring cultural norms and history and pitting different groups against each other. War and destruction and hate became the norm and here we are today. Like this isn't even conspiracy theories seriously read any history book this isn't disputable. Why is it bad for them to create a caliphate free from the life sucking grip of the West? I live in the 'West' and am not Middle Easterner or muslim so I'm not butthurt about anything or have any personal grudges to be biased And lastly of course I understand that it's not as simple as just saying aight build ur caliphate when there are already existing countries in the region but I'm talking about their cause.
Nov 18, 2015 they are not a popular movement, they are an army that enforces their will upon people under threat of execution. If western countries don't have a right to fight and demonize ISIS, the governments and people of Middle Eastern countries do, and they would without the west's help or not
Nov 18, 2015 the ideologies and, at least for now, the histories of the groups involved are irrelevant. they're the "bad guy" because of their tactics.
Nov 18, 2015 because they use terror to try and get what they want and they're willing to stop at literally nothing
Nov 18, 2015 And that's as far my caring about it goes. It's up to the people there to decide. But I will say the worst thing that can happen to IS is to lose the support of their own people and right now they seem to be growing I want IS dead but that's because the war is spreading to the West and I care about myself more than their history. But that doesn't change the facts
Nov 18, 2015 Because they murder innocent people? Not even in a "war-zone causality" kind of way, but in a DELIBERATE ACT USED TO INCITE FEAR kind of way. Holy f---. Ask Koolo if he thinks ISIS are the bad guys, and he seems to dislike the U.S.
Nov 18, 2015 I always get scared to ask these sorts of questions because I feel like I'd get put on a list, lol.
Nov 18, 2015 Alchemist has been trying to be different his whole life. That's why his name is franc and not frank.
Nov 18, 2015 When I first heard reporting of ISIS I had to see for myself because I know the agendas of other groups and the media. I saw for myself and they are bragging about killing innocent people. Militias in the US are considered the bad guy when they shouldn't be but this is far from that. We must come together and stop them.
Nov 18, 2015 You're right. I'm bad at explaining things but I don't mean to downplay or disregard what they do there and Koolo lives there himself while I type this comfortably from Australia, f--- me and all. And people directly affected by it won't care for anyone's history or reasons and that's fair But is it smart to disregard and make up your mind on such a deep and complex issue with the justification that "they k--- innocent people"? Just the hypocrisy about it idk
