Feb 21, 2021 A couple podcasts I'll plug: Yeah, But Still (also on Soundcloud) Hosted by standup comedian Brandon Wardell and video director Jack Wagner, it's kind of a shooting the s--- type comedy podcast but they're usually pretty prepared with stuff to talk about and cover a wide variety of topics. They also have a huge range of guests—Tim Heidecker, Thundercat, Vampire Weekend, Bill Oakley (golden-age Simpsons writer), Mark McGrath from Sugar Ray, Jamie-Lynn Sigler & Rob Iler (AJ & Meadow from The Sopranos), Chromeo, Tom Green, etc. etc. etc. The Renner Files A comedic, mock true crime podcast about the rise and fall of the Jeremy Renner app. Also, what All Gas No Breaks is doing is amazing

Feb 21, 2021 Can you or @Captain Awesome AKA Papa recommend me a good Bill Burr special? I tried watching one a couple years back and stoped watching after 20 min cuz thought it was terrible, but I've seen funny clips of him online before.
Feb 21, 2021 I would say "I'm Sorry You Feel This Way" is his absolute best. I love all of his standups though although the newer one's aren't as sharp as his first few which is how it goes for all comedians and artists. But I would start there if you don't want to go chronologically.
Feb 21, 2021 Saw the recent Comedy Central documentary about Patrice. Really took me back to when I first heard of him on Tough Crowd and that half hour special he did for Comedy Central. I even attended a taping of Tough Crowd once but unfortunately Patrice wasn’t part of the panel (Jim Norton and Keith Robinson were).

Patrice's only bad take I could remember was when he said Kim Kardashian was going nowhere and white people would shun her and make her a pariah because she made a sex tape with Ray J (cause he is black).
Feb 22, 2021 Since 2016 I've counted on only 2 podcasts that I have personal connections to to make me laugh. It's been the Great Depression of American comedy since then. When I was a baby Johnny Carson was the gatekeeper that stood between a standup and national exposure and fame and fortune... and he knew what was funny and what was bs hackery. Then David Letterman became the gatekeeper and he had an even better sense of comedy and he elevated the best of the best. Now for some f---ing reason Joe Rogan is the gatekeeper and he has no idea what is funny and he is promoting cringe... because of Joe Rogan there are lethally unfunny stand ups who should be nothing more than open mic-ers getting Netflix specials and boring a--- podcasts that top the charts with no merit... I see people wearing Brendan Schaub t-shirts... and it makes me want to cry for America. @Worm

Makes Chad sick when he tries to do a deep dive into the "craft" of comedy, guy crawls up a stool and repeats 2014 era SJW cringe comp anti-PC s--- that hasn't hit in years
