It doesn't look as good as Harry Potter since there's no suspense and this feels like a cash in but hey. J.K. Rowling wrote this so where can it go wrong?

It's a f---ing Harry Potter prequel written by J.K. Rowling, you expected the movie to get negative reception amongst other people?

Warner Bros. is pumping money into payola to make sure they don't have another bomb in their hands.

I saw it yesterday. Entertaining but obviously can't touch the original series...but that's all I was expecting really so I wasn't disappointed.

i don't even understand why people like Harry Potter as much as they do. I tried to re-watch the first one (harry potter and the Philipino stone) a couple weeks back
    >child actors
    dropped.

honestly couldn't stand it. I liked it when i was younger, but that's about it. the last 3 or so HP movies were pretty good though. I think i just fucken hate children - especially children actors.

Movies f---ing s---. I hate when people usually say "the movies don't do the books justice" but in HP's case, it's true.

First two movies are trash, because they're catering more towards a child audience. It doesn't really reflect the books, but I understand the cash-grab mentality. If they actually reflected the tone of the books, they would've been great movies. If they would've used the director of Prisoner of Azkaban, the movie franchise would've gotten off to a great start.

Prisoner of Azkaban is GOAT HP movie, f---ing perfect, One of my favorite movie experiences, to be honest.

Goblet Of Fire is good, focuses on stupid s---, but overall it's solid.

Order of the Phoenix is trash, with some cool parts, but not nearly as cool as the book.

Half Blood Prince is straight trash, worst f---ing movie of the entire franchise. The whole book is focused on Voldemort's past, and they had two scenes of it.

Deathly Hallows 1 is 2nd best. It might be the best reflection of any of the books. Only gripe I had was they never explained why you can't say Voldemort's name, but whatever.

Deathly Hallows part 2 is OK. Could've been great but it seemed really rushed.

Half Blood Prince and Order of the Phoenix, aside from Deathly Hallows, were my favorite books. There's so much cool s--- in them, and they dropped the ball.

Well, it's a bit slow and the whole beast story line is pretty pointless. It should be cool seeing grindlewald's story in the coming movies. Some nice nods to the HP series in it, I'm a big HP guy though so they were easy to pick up

Yeah that was sorta my big thing with Harry Potter one/two. They just seemed like kids movies when i watched them. Like if you compared the first to the final movie, f--- me those tones a themes and feels got completely f---ing flipped. It went from like a PG rating to a dark M movie. Not only that but i remember lord of the rings coming out and that just s----s all over HP, like infinitely.

Reminds me of south park when they are playing lord of the rings and see another group of kids "what are you guys playing?"
    "harry potter!"
    "f--s."

I forgot how much I hated the movies, but I'm a huge HP fan, so I'll definitely eventually see it.

I'm still not over HBP or OOTP
