May 16, 2018 I sleep. Usually I end up sleeping for like 2 days in a row and wake up because I'm dehydrated. But sleeping helps me get away from it all. If I can't sleep for as long as I want to, then I try to distract myself by watching movies, shows or playing video games. I create music and a lot of art/visuals as a hobby and a job, so that helps if I have a deadline and need to finish something. But when I am depressed I can't get the creative juices flowing, so there's no point in even trying.
May 16, 2018 This. Do small things that take your mind of it/make you feel better to slowly built up your confidence (so basically take small steps).
May 16, 2018 If that’s what genuinely takes someone away from being in a bad place then why judge bro? In fact it’s pretty common to have a video/song to go to when you need a boost
May 16, 2018 Personally I listen to music, go to the gym or play football if possible. Just something to take my mind off overthinking and distract myself from negative thoughts etc
May 16, 2018 I usually workout or do something active, but like, if I get in a mood early into a work shift I'll just listen to lil peep and wallow in it until it gets boring. Feeling usually passes after a little bit, then I listen to Young Thug and everything becomes alright
May 16, 2018 Exercise is always good for your body and brain and releases a lot of tension you have built up. I use lifting weights as almost a mental therapy the older I get. It’s something where I forget about my problems while working out and you’re semi happy with youself. If you’re a gamer, a certain video game series helped me out when I was bed ridden from a back injury a few times. Whatever games you prefer would definitely help free your mind up. I wouldn’t ever recommend benzodiazepines, if you can’t handle your s--- and be responsible with the medication. Honestly, 10mg-20mg Valium helped me go to a big family meet up and didn’t bother me to answer certain questions I usually don’t like talking about. It’s like having a ton of weight lift off your shoulders and sort of energizes me in a way. What you said in op seems pretty minor so I would probably just try and work it out yourself maybe go on some runs or the gym to get your endorphins going.
May 16, 2018 Some weed & working out. Also video games and being sure to watch videos / play games you like if you’re into gaming.
May 16, 2018 Cooking and listening to music or a podcast. I swear to god getting in the zone and cooking is like meditation, it just gives your brain a chance to not think for awhile because you're so focused on the task at hand.
