No because not long ago everyone could vote. Eminem and 2Pac are always switching place and are first or second. It's not surprising, majority of people see them both as the best rapper ever.
    You must deal with it.:kanye3:

It's really not surprising that after 2.5M votes to see these two guys.

You see what I'm trying to tell you and I'm not mean is that, if you ask to everyone who are the best rapper ever, you often will have Em or Pac more than others. It's just what it is. That's life.

    That's a possibility.
When I look at the list, I see Em, Pac, Biggie, Nas, Ice Cube, Hov. Actually it's a great list. I'm glad to see DMX at the top 14. I don't agree with everything but I can deal with that list.:ehh:

Eminem is the biggest rapper without a doubt, hence when you take the mass appeal in consideration, Em gets the best title easily.

But a rapper who has had a sub par career for the last 15 years and put out projects like Revival as a mainstream album, doesn't deserve that title, and it's coming from someone whose favourite rapper is Eminem.

he has hit that 2pac iconic status for sure

being the greatest is debatable, he is def top 3 biggest rappers of all time, even if you think he sucks major balls its not debatable, he has sold more than any other rapper in existence, and yes this is the most important factor when you look at biggest of all time

Not surprising really when you consider his (still) huge fanbase and the fact he’s the biggest selling rapper of all time

His run from 99-03 is enough to justify calling him the goat imo, regardless of what you think of his post-hiatus s---

It's tough to say until he is dead and gone (ti feat Justin Timberlake) I would say Tech N9ne might go down as the GOAT and even Logic depending how the rest of his career goes. He's still young and just started juicing. He's looking ripped.

Eminem is easily a contender for best rapper ever.
Don't let Revival fool you. Bad things happen sometimes.
But look at him as a whole.
He got 3 classics, 2 mediocre albums in Encore and Revival and his other 4 range from good to great. He has a solid discography and his classics themselves land him into Top 10 or top 5.
He's got some of the best wordplay and flow abilities in rap. He's insanely technical at rapping and has mastered every skill that was to be learnt.
He was respected as an underground MC and is still respected, even by legends who came before him.
Also, even after 20 years and a decline in his fanbase due to Trump thing, he still got a massive mainstream presence and appeal. He's insanely popular. Rappers like Nas, Big L, Rakim, tho better than Eminem with their discographies would love to have such a huge mainstream presence this late into their career.

I don't think there's any other criteria to be fulfilled.

Sorry but i can see Rakim's discography better than Em's. He's got The Master and The 18th Letter. Seventh s----d. Nas has Illmatic and it was written. Stillmatic and the others meh. Big L had one album lol not counting the posthumous one

Yeah but why should anyone care what answer you get when you ask 'anyone'?

The majority of people who say Em is the best you meet IRL are music normies and/or white people who actively avoid black artists lol...

Like when it comes to Eminem, stans like to act like the general public doesn't have awful s-----y music opinions? Lol

Casual and popular opinion on music is irrelevant when determining quality

When you work in the math of how many whites are afraid of black music and only listen to Eminem, the fact Pac's got almost half of Em's sales while only making music over small period of time supports Tupac being wayyyy more significant lol

Lol we're still talking about sales when it comes to Eminem even tho he's only as popular as he is because he's white. He'd be half of even that if he wasn't white.

A rapper who made something as terrible as revival makes this laughable. No, idc if a bunch of stans voted for him in some poll.

And eminem has those large sales mainly from when he made good music. Look at his sales that declined majorly, over this past decade. Like big dangerous said too, you have those white people that “only” listen to eminem because he’s white. But I’m not getting into that. It’s obvious.

Though I agree with you partly, you have to admit music is subjective at the end of the day. There's no pre defined standards as to who and who not is qualified to have their opinion be taken seriously, and we can't let a certain group of individuals with certain biases determine those standards for us.

If Em is overrated by the white community, you have to admit he's underrated in the black community too. His 99-03 run is pretty solid to say the least, but there will never be an indisputable best rapper ever, everyone will have opinions, but I'd prefer those that are unbiased and well informed over those that aren't, but at the same time I can't just dismiss the opinions from people I believe have lesser expertise on the topic
