Jun 6, 2018 Give it a spin. It is not his best album but it is the most timeless to revisit. Fight me.
Jun 6, 2018 Omg no. It is solid as f--- though. I'm always surprised by how solid it is every time I re-listen, which I did again just the other day for the first time in probably a year, and there's not a single track where I go 'f---, why!?', it is actually extremely consistent. It's just flawed. If he could go back and re-write the bad s--- and re-produce it with himself and Bass Bros... it would be a classic. But, study as f---. But yeah definitely not best aging. Those beats are cheap and nasty, they don't age well, and a lot of his wordplay is terrible so that only glares more as time goes on. MMLP, TES or Relapse are the best aging just due to quality of how they were put together. Playing any of them even to this day is an immense experience.
Jun 6, 2018 I dont think its his worst aging. It sounded a bit dated at the time imo, and sounds dated now. Revival legit sounded 9 years old on release date, s--- was born grown. Recovery is not bad, but not great nor really good. Its a decent project.
Jun 7, 2018 nah and i used to bump the s--- out of it everyday on my ipod but il admit i havent checked recovery in like 2 years and not evne the full album maybe a track here n there its a very good album though just not a very aged well album id say mmlp2 has aged alot better
Jun 7, 2018 Listened to this like a week ago I think, only skipped several tracks, but overall it's still decent.
Jun 7, 2018 Op meant its best in a sense theres nothing on it that make u cringe hard. And obviously he means after 2004 but he doesnt know that
Jun 7, 2018 Idk he's got a bunch of wack lines and s--- puns on recovery but the music overall doesn't sound as out of touch as the other albums so this may be true
